At Riders Club of America, we’re dedicated to providing accessible transportation for our community. We proudly serve seniors and individuals with qualifying medical conditions, helping them maintain their independence and stay connected.
If you’re new to Cedar Rapids and meet our eligibility requirements – being 55 years or older or having a qualifying medical condition – we can help you get around the city and surrounding areas.
Here’s how to utilize our services upon your arrival:
- Getting Started: Contact us during our office hours (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday) to establish an account. We’ll guide you through the simple process.
- Service Area: We offer door-to-door rides within the Cedar Rapids metropolitan area, including Marion and Hiawatha. Our service area is generally bound by Tower Terrace Road, Highway 13, US 30, and Stoney Point Rd.
- Scheduling Rides: Reservations are required and should be made in advance. We operate 24/7, and our drivers can wait up to 15 minutes if pre-arranged.
- Cost & Payment: We operate on a membership basis. There’s an annual membership fee plus a mileage charge. Rides are $1 for pickup and $1 per mile, with a minimum charge of $6. We require a prepaid account with a minimum balance of $40, and we’ll let you know when it’s time to recharge.
- Traveling with a Companion: Secured pets are welcome – just let us know when you book your ride so we can ensure availability.
