Here’s how you can enjoy a tour with Royal Carriages during your visit:

• Group Tours: Join one of our regularly scheduled, narrated tours!

  • French Quarter and More: Discover the charm of the French Quarter and the unique character of Faubourg Marigny on a one-hour journey through time.
  • French Quarter History: Relax and soak in over 300 years of captivating stories as we meander through the historic streets.
  • History & Haunts: For a truly unforgettable evening, experience the darker side of the French Quarter with our spooky nighttime tour, filled with tales of history and hauntings.

• Private Tours: Want a more personalized experience? Our private carriages comfortably seat up to four passengers.

  • Choose from a half-hour tour or a more in-depth one-hour tour.
  • We can customize your route based on your interests – just let us know what you'd like to see! Please note that private tours are popular and availability is limited to two reservations per hour.

Planning Your Ride:

• Reservations are highly recommended and can be made easily through our website or by giving us a call.
• We offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before your scheduled departure.
• We operate seven days a week, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
• Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your tour time and check in with our Supervisor at 700 Decatur Street.
• Allow up to 20 minutes for boarding as we get you settled with your mule and driver. All tours depart from in front of Jackson Square.

A Few Things to Know:

• Our carriages are historic and require a step or two to board, so unfortunately, they are not wheelchair accessible. If you have any mobility concerns, please reach out to us beforehand so we can discuss options.
• You are welcome to bring your own beverages, including alcohol, but we kindly ask that passengers remain respectful and avoid boarding while intoxicated.
• Our guides are licensed and passionate locals dedicated to providing you with accurate and engaging historical insights.
